  Leopard geckos are relatively easy pets to care for, providing you recognize that they have specific environmental needs.  To raise a happy and healthy gecko, you must ensure the proper provision of all these essential environmental factors.

Dr. Gecko recommends that you have the proper environment set up BEFORE you bring your new leopard gecko home.  We like to have our enclosures running for at least a week to make sure we have the necessary temperature gradients, humidity etc...That way once the gecko comes home, everything will be set up perfectly and it will make the transition to a new environment that much easier and less stressful.  It will also help to prevent any husbandry problems that could arise stemming from environmental problems.
